About Us

The Erindale Hockey Association (EHA) is one of the largest hockey associations in Mississauga. Started in 1946 by Wally and Gord Oughtred , Erindale has a proud history of providing children with the opportunity to learn the game of hockey in a positive and fun environment. All of our coaches and trainers attend clinics that have been specifically designed by Hockey Canada to ensure that their skills are kept up-to-date and they receive the necessary certification required to be part of the bench staff.

Erindale Hockey has many programs for children starting as young as four years old. Our home arena is the Erin Mills Twin Arena located on Unity Drive. The season begins in September and ends in March with playoffs as well as a banquet at the end of the year that includes trophy presentations to most Erindale teams.

We hope you find all the information you need on this site. If you would like more information on the Erindale Hockey Association or our programs, please feel free to contact us.

President's Message

Welcome to the Erindale Hockey Association. I am truly honoured to be part of such a dedicated, passionate, and talented group of volunteers here at Erindale. I can still remember the early days and my first exposure to this great association, lining up with all the other families in the stairwells at EMTR to hopefully get a spot in the coveted IP program. I never dreamed that things would lead to this.

The Erindale Hockey Association (EHA) was formed in 1946 by Mr. Wally Oughtred and his brother Gord. The Erindale logo includes the famous RAF Spitfire. The Spitfire symbolizes skill, determination, and a never quite attitude. The very attributes that the EHA strives to instill in its players and coaches.

At Erindale hockey, our motto is "skill, determination and a never quit attitude." This motto runs through the entire association from our 100% volunteer run board of directors to our volunteer coach's right down to our cherished players.

Our goal year to year is to ensure that each and every one of our players and families have a successful hockey experience. Erindale encourages all of our players, coaches, and families to learn about teamwork, dedication, fitness, and fair play and to develop community spirit and community involvement amongst all our participants.

Erindale believes in teaching all the players and coaches respect for all those involved in this great game of hockey including game officials, opposing coaches and players, parents from all teams, of course teammates, and most importantly for themselves.

Thanks for choosing the Erindale Hockey association and we will strive to make this a memorable and pleasant hockey experience.

Yours in hockey,

Ted Varty
