Thank You to Our Erindale Hockey Association Volunteers
Hockey season is officially underway, and it’s been a whirlwind few weeks of registrations, player evaluations, and convenor meetings — all made possible by the incredible volunteers who keep Erindale hockey running strong.
From early mornings at the rink to late nights sorting gear, your dedication sets the tone for the season. Today was another example of that teamwork: organizing and labeling equipment with the help of my kids, Nathaniel and Trinh, sharpening skates thanks to Rob Hager of Pro Hockey Life at the Heartland Town Centre, and picking up last‑minute essentials like tape and neck guards from Rick Okihiro at the Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre Pro Shop.

Even managed to make a quick breakfast — corned beef hash, eggs, and an Americano courtesy the new espresso machine my partner bought — before diving back into preparations.
Tomorrow brings the excitement of our Bauer First Shift skate and Trinh’s first practice of the season. Her older brothers will be helping a coaches and on ice practice support.
To everyone who has spent hours helping families register, evaluating players, convening teams, and getting gear ready — thank you. Your energy and commitment make this community what it is.

Here’s to another great season of Erindale hockey — powered by volunteers, fueled by passion, and built on teamwork.

Thanks to Greg Rapier, David Power, Tracy McGlaughlin-Camara,Jason Deeck, Pietrina Power, Kevin Gonsalves, Rob Hager, Ted Varty, Scott Brooks, Jason Ricci, Steven Dwyer, Bob Smith,John Cleaver, Ian Turner, and the many others I see in the rink every day.
