Dear Members of the Erindale Hockey Association,

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the devastating news of the sudden and tragic passing of 16-year-old hockey player, Jamie Hobbs. We mourn the loss of a young athlete who brought joy and camaraderie to our community, both on and off the ice.

Jamie's dedication to the sport of hockey was truly remarkable. His passion for the game and his unwavering commitment to his teammates inspired us all. We remember the countless hours he spent on the ice, and the infectious enthusiasm with which he approached every practice and game.

As many of you are already aware, the teams that Jamie had been a part of, recently paid their respects and honoured his memory with a poignant moment of silence. This touching tribute showed the strength of our community and the deep bonds that hockey helps forge among players, families, and fans.

The loss of Jamie leaves a void that will be felt by all who knew him. He was not only an exceptional player but a kind-hearted, warm, and caring young man who touched the lives of many. We extend our deepest condolences to Jamie's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as we grieve the loss of such a promising young life.

In the days and weeks ahead, we encourage our community to come together and support one another. Grief knows no boundaries, and we understand that many are affected by this tragic event. Please reach out to the Erindale Hockey Association or our affiliated counseling services if you or someone you know needs assistance during this challenging period.

We will always remember Jamie Hobbs for his passion for the game, his dedication, and his contagious spirit. He may no longer be with us on the ice, but his memory will forever live on in our hearts and in the Erindale Hockey Association.

Rest in peace, Jamie.

You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
